Stocks rise on AI buzz, drop in oil prices
Stock markets climbed on Tuesday as the success of Meta's new AI agent and US-China talks on artificial intelligence fanned a tech-led rally. Meta surged 11 percent after its free AI agent Muse topped download charts, while Asian markets were mostly green with South Korea's Kospi up 1.7 percent and Taiwan's Taiex up 1.4 percent. Falling oil prices also rallied optimism, with crude dropping around four percent after Trump signalled openness to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly.
