TSMC, 텍사스에 공장 추진... '실리콘 프레리'가 두 번째 미국 생산 거점 부상

TSMC eyes Texas factory as 'Silicon Prairie' emerges as second US production hub
TSMC, the world's largest contract chipmaker, is reportedly pursuing plans to build a semiconductor factory in Texas — its second US production base — after committing $265 billion to facilities in Arizona. The Dallas area is the leading candidate for the site, which could feature more advanced manufacturing processes than those currently being built at the Phoenix campus. TSMC has not issued an official statement and the matter has yet to go before its board of directors.
