Alibaba unveiled what it claims is China's most powerful AI chip, the Zhenwu V900, delivering three times the performance of its previous-generation M890 chip at its annual flagship conference in Hangzhou. The company also announced plans to train a new AI model at the scale of 5-10 trillion parameters, bringing it closer to the most advanced U.S. models, and expects to have over 20 gigawatts of computing capacity by 2032. The announcements came ahead of expected U.S.-China leadership talks where AI competition is set to be a major theme.
