Iran offer to reopen Hormuz within seven days if US accepts proposal
Iran has proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz and resuming nuclear talks with the United States within seven days of Washington accepting its conditions, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Thursday. The proposal was conveyed to the United States through Qatari mediators and draws on a June ceasefire agreement that subsequently collapsed. President Xi Jinping told Trump during their White House meeting Thursday that Beijing supported Washington and Tehran returning to the June arrangement intended to end the war and reopen Hormuz.
