Putin expresses cautious stance on resuming peace talks
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed a cautious stance on resuming US-brokered peace negotiations with Ukraine, claiming that Kyiv launched large-scale drone attacks during Russia's lower house election earlier this month. Putin said he had been ready to resume talks after the September 18-20 State Duma elections but more than 1,600 drones entered the Moscow area on election day, attacking a school serving as a polling station. He stated Russia 'will think twice' about what to do in response, while peace negotiations remain stalled due to the situation in Iran and other factors.
