The US has discussed starting reciprocal visits to nuclear sites with China in an effort to build mutual trust and prevent an arms race, with the idea of visits to US Department of Energy national labs and China's equivalent facilities. A further Trump-Xi meeting this year is widely seen as likely, possibly at the APEC summit in November or the G20 meeting in December, with lower-level nuclear talks expected beforehand.
