Trump orders firing squad execution for Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan
President Trump has approved the execution by firing squad of Nidal Malik Hasan, the former Army psychiatrist who killed 13 people and wounded 32 in a 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recommended the method and Trump signed off, according to Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell. The execution would be the first carried out by the US military since 1961.
